Diomand

Diomand is currently a 2nd-year Ph.D. Criminology and Criminal Justice student at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests include reentry, criminal identity, Crime, and immigration, particularly Black immigrants and Caribbean criminology. 

She graduated with a BS in Psychology from Haverford College in 2018 and worked in various nonprofits. Before starting at the University of Maryland, College Park, Diomand worked in various reentry, correction, and victim service nonprofits within the City of Philadelphia. 

She aims to use her research to engage in public-facing scholarship that bridges the gap between academia, the government, and public opinion. Particularly scholarship that supports formerly incarcerated individuals’ successful reintegration and criminal justice reform.
